It started with one mug
My husband came home from a hunting show where he'd seen some mugs for sale and thought, “We could make our own…and put our own spin on them.” So we did. We etched our first mug, added a hand-braided paracord handle, shared it locally…and I guess you could say the rest is history.
The mugs took off, but even better were all the ideas people started bringing us. One custom request led to another, and before long we were creating designs we never would have thought of on our own.
Over the years, Kraner Customs has grown from those first mugs into personalized sandblasted glassware, custom ornaments, sports and team gifts, awards, keepsakes and plenty of one-of-a-kind projects.
Still made by hand
We still make things much the same way we did when we started. My husband works on the designs, while I cut and prepare the vinyl stencils, sandblast our glassware and ornaments, braid the paracord handles and help turn those designs into finished pieces.
Our products aren't simply printed onto the surface. The designs on our etched glass are permanently sandblasted into the glass, so they won't peel, fade or wash off.
A family business
It's still very much a family business. Our kids have grown up alongside Kraner Customs and have helped out along the way. What started as one idea has given our family something creative to build together, and we're incredibly grateful for every customer who has allowed us to make something for them.
